iSS Explorer Pro is much like the file explorer found in Windows Desktop, but with features added and specialized for Windows Mobile
devices. When the program launches, you will be in your
"My Device" location, or where you were located when you closed iSS File Explorer previously. To navigate, click on a folder name to display its contents, or click
the Up button to travel upwards to the containing folder. At any time, you may change the way you display files by changing the view mode or sorting order. To launch a program, simply
click on the program icon and it will launch normally. When you close the program, you will be taken back to iSS File Explorer at
your last location. There are also useful
tools that allow you to change the name and location of files, as well as properties such as Read-Only, Hidden and Archive.
Tree Large - navigate your device using a large, finger press-able tree view
Icon, List, Details, Tree Small and Tree Large.
Sort By: Allows you to sort files and folders by Name, Date, Size or Type. Note that sorting can be viewed in reverse mode by selecting a sorting option twice.
Edit: Includes tools for editing files and folders, such as Rename, Cut/Copy/Paste, and Select All. Also useful are the Undo function and Properties screen.

Map Network Folders
From the "File" menu, click on "Tools" to access "Map Network" and "Remove Network".
*Please note - you'll need an active network connection and access to your shared computers to Map Network resources.
If your device is not set up to access shared computers you will be prompted to soft reset your device when opening "Map Network".
Type in the full path of the remote computer name - ie \\MyDesktopPc If a username and password is required, enter it as well. If you don't and they are required, you will be prompted for them when you press OK.
If iSS File Explorer Pro is able to find the shared computer, you will be given a list of
available shares. Enter a local name for the share, select the share you wish to map and press the "Ok" menu button.
If it was successful, you will find the share located under the "Network" folder on your Windows Mobile device.
You may remove Mapped folders by selecting "Remove Network" under "Tools" on the "File" menu.
If you are unable to map your shared resource, try selecting "Advanced Network Mapping" in the Options screen.

Properties
From the "File" menu, click on "Edit" to access "Properties...".
First select a single file or folder, then launch the "Properties..." to get detailed information on the currently selected item. If nothing is selected, it will show the properties of the current folder.
The Properties screen will show important information such as file type, path, size, size on disk, file dates, and attributes. If the file is not stored in the Rom of your device, you will be able change the file attributes as well by using
the check boxes at the bottom of the screen.
Please note, if browsing a folder that contains files stored in ROM (Read Only Memory), the size on disk will not include these files. On most Windows Mobile devices, viewing the properties on the Windows folder will show a relatively small value for "Size on disk" as
most of the files in the folder are stored in ROM.
For most items, the "Properties" screen will also show the percentage of space the currently selected item is using for the current storage location. The current storage location could be on device storage, an external storage card, etc - depending on where the file is saved.

Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin is enabled by default but can be turned off from the options screen. Please note, if you disable the Recycle Bin, this will not erase files already stored in the Recycle Bin.
When the Recycle Bin is enabled, deleted files and folders will automatically be placed in the Recycle Bin. The Recycle Bin will use up to 10% of your storage space and will only work with files deleted on the main device storage, not storage cards.
From the "File" menu, click on "Tools" to access the Recycle Bin
From this screen you can view, delete or restore any files that have been added to the Recycle Bin.
If you delete a file or folder when the Recycle Bin is full, you will be prompted to empty the Recycle Bin or delete the item
permanently.
